lost in translation.

the hebrew word, 'shalom' has so much meaning that is lost in translation. we translate it simply as 'peace,' but the english word is basically negative, referring only to the absence of trouble and hostility. the hebrew word means much more than that... it means absolute wholeness, full, harmonious, flourishing life.

no, 'peace' just doesn't encompass completeness, wholeness, heath, welfare, safety, soundness, tranquility, prosperity, perfection, fullness, rest, harmony and absence of discord.

this brings new light to, "sar shalom"...

.... prince of shalom.
